Royal Copenhagen Christmas Plate 2023 Time in The Forest

The motif for this years Annual Collectible Plate depicts a flock of sheep walking through a Danish forest. The shepherd carries a tired lamb in his arms as he stops to admire an old Viking monument. The 2023 Royal Copenhagen Annual Plate is in its 116th edition and has been designed by the Danish artist Allan Therkelsen. The relief for the "Christmas Time in the Forest" motif has been hand-cut by Royal Copenhagens talented modelling artists and hand painted in cobalt blue underglaze.
