Audeze LCD-2 Rosewood Leather

The LCD-2 is the rocker of the LCD line. Made for people who prefer to listen to music with their gut rather than their head. It is forgiving towards technically weaker recordings. Nevertheless the LCD-2 delivers audiophile sound quality at the highest technological level with drastically reduced distortion the finest resolution and plenty of three-dimensionality. The sound of the LCD-2 comes very close to a live concert. Designed as an open magnetostat the LCD-2 has a self-supporting stator housing made of neodymium magnets and an extremely thin diaphragm 80% of whose surface consists of conductor track material. This is driven according to the push-pull principle resulting in a completely symmetrical drive force. The exceptionally large diaphragm surface ensures that the sound also covers large parts of the auricle creating a very natural spatial impression. The LCD-2 headphones from Audeze are frugal in terms of power consumption 101 dB/1 mW and at the same time exceptionally level-resistant at 130 dB. The Fazor technology developed by Audeze improves the control of the music flow within the headphones. The result is an improved phase response an extended frequency range upwards and downwards a velvety frequency response and a remarkably three-dimensional spatial reproduction. Great importance was attached to wearing comfort during development. Even though the headphones are relatively heavy they still offer a very good and comfortable fit. Thanks to the high-quality lambskin leather ear pads with a large contact surface the LCD-2 does not get in the way even when worn for long periods. The specially developed rosewood housings not only give the headphones their characteristic appearance but also provide a particularly low-resonance environment for the transducers. The steel and leather headband is light and durable and can be adjusted according to head size.
